For they who dream about doing many things in short time within a small area, the mythic island Malta in the heart of the Mediterranea Sea, is an excellent alternative. On the Norwegian travel fair trade Reiseliv06 in January 2006, tourist representatives from Malta presented great opportunities for most people. Some of the most picturesque scenery of all the Maltese islands can be found on Gozo. For nature lovers, they can enjoy the rugged landscape and spectacular coastline. For sun tourists, they can enjoy rocky inlets to red sand beaches and sail, snorkel, dive and fish. For party lions they can drink and rock around in a wide range of pubs. For genuine explorers, they can ahieve unique adventures admiring the world`s ancient temples and explore great mysteries just waiting for being solved.

For tour operators the big challenge is to attract visitors to its stand, collect, and convert them into clients (customers). Everybody do it in different ways, but the basic steps are the same. Tour operators as Kenor Safaris and Hvitserk demonstrated its professionally from start to end. We in Travel Explorations have considered tour operators and other travel companies` ways of running marketing activities and selling on the Norway International Meeting and Travel Fair - Reiseliv 06. As an appropriate approach for this we used the AIDA model, which guides organisations in this process by constantly reminding them that any successful promotional technique must eventually lead to an action, or booking of a tour, product or service.

One of the most exciting places to experience is Norway's arctic wilderness Svalbard. This island is located in northern part of the country and was presented on the 19th Norway International Meeting and Travel Fair - Reiseliv 06, in January 2006. The pioneering tour operator the Svalbard Villmarkssenter AS - the Wilderness Centre - Villmarkssenteret, was promoting Svalbard and tours for unique adventures on the stand. It`s a family based company runned by Berit Hole and Karl Våtvik. They offer short and long dog sledding trips in the winters, overnight trips to hut in the wilderness and trips with accommodation in tent. In the summer they offer dog sledding on wheels, daytrips to mountains and glaciers with or without pack-dogs including lunch. Svalbard is full of opportunities for winter extreme sport, observing the northern light, dog sledging, and has well developed infrastructure for winter sport, snow- and ice festivals. The enthusiastic persons in Svalbard Villmarkssenter AS have through hard work over 10 years expanded the bounds of arctic travel.

We are ready for more assignments. For editors in newspaper and magazines, PR agencies, tourism organisations and tour operators, we in the global travel guide Travel Explorations would like to inform that we have a wide network of journalists world wide. These are more than willing to write exciting and inspiring stories about places for unique adventures. Some are presented on our website, and other would be presented based on requests. As the travel market is becoming increasingly globalized, the marketing factor "visibility" is of growing importance, especially from the strategic perspective. Therefore we in Travel Explorations has continuously given high priority to publish breaking news, exciting articles and travel offers. For example, how big response from travellers do you think will achieve as a tour operator based on news reports, features articles and travel tales?

Which countries and regions are most risky? How can travellers deal with in today's travel environment? Which precautions should be taken? In the previous years there has been several disasters around the world as the threat of avian flu, Ebola, AIDS, wars, violent demonstrations, a massive earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia, the Haitang typhoon in Southeast China and Taiwan, Hurricanes in America, bomb attacks in London, Bali and Amman, and the devastating earthquake in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. So many dramatic incidents have happened in a short time that it seems that travellers should be prepared for dealing with unexpectable situations. That`s the life of travelling today. The only things which is normal is the unexpectable!
