The beautiful light ornaments in center created a good Christmas atmosphere. The Santa train was filled with fun entertainment. Both children and adults entertained with song and dance. This time Santa train went through the pedestrian area (Dronningensgate).
With torches, goblins, tractors with trailers, and a snap fully train was Christmas street in Moss opened. And just after a brilliant speech by the mayor Tage Pettersen was Christmas tree lit with a shining star on the top.
Christmas Street opening in Moss has become a tradition for many. Lions Moss has organised for 52 years the santa procession in Moss, which they also repeated this year too! Lions sold as usual Christmas bags. Revenues for Christmas bags goes to the Lions their work. They provide large and small contributions to groups, individuals and various projects. There are international projects such as schools and eye health in Africa, disaster relief in many places in the world. National projects such as attitudes, health sports and blind dog school. Local issues older party, handicap party and contributions of many institutions in the city. It was served waffles, Christmas sheaves and Jeloy music corps played up to real Christmas atmosphere for the attendance.

In the procession there were a flag fortress, Lucia horseback, music, tractors, ponies, fire engine, ambulance and many happy Santas of all ages. Much to the delight of the audience danced santa ladies through the streets. This year the Santa train through the pedestrian area which this year has received brand new winter lighting.

17.00 Lighting of the Christmas tree at the church. Greetings from Lions Club Moss, speech by Mayor Tage Pettersen, chorus, sometime around Christmas tree
With this we got into the right Christmas mood this year as well. Looking already forward to the celebration next year.
