Divers have found an 800-year-old wine Jar by the north-west coast of the island Sicily. Den old terracotta-Jar, called amphora, is full of wine, and on mission from the Archaeological Institute in Trapani, divers plan bring up the wine to the surface before the 22nd September (in accordance to Aftenposten).
Wine experts are not sure about that the 1200-century was a good period for the wine grapes, but they hope that the wine has no cork taste. The wine will be sent to a laboratory for thoroughly testing (or shall I say tasting).
What kind of testing methods will they use? Will someone try this wine after so many years? It is a really a long time to wait for people who are real thirsty.
