The Great Barrier Reef can die out!

Higher water temperature threatens the natural wonder. The corral reefs, which cover Australia's famous Great Barrier Reef, is turning to die out. Within 50 years this will happen if the ocean water temperature continues to rise, maintain a professor.
The Great Barrier Reef - one of the world's natural wonders. In accordance to Ove Hough-Guldberg will the reefs get paled and die out if the ocean temperature rises higher. He is the head of marine studies of the University in Queensland (Australia).

Photo: A glimse of the Great Barrier Reef The Great Barrier Reef is known to be an extensive reef system and the biggest structure made by living organisms on earth. The reefs extend 2014 km (1258 miles) along the coast of Queensland, Australia's north-east State. It reaches from the tips of Cape York Peninsula in the north to Gladstone in the south. Located from 20 to 50 km (12-32 miles) off-shore.

The reefs protects hundred of islands against the waves of the Pacific Ocean. What will happen if the reefs die out? How will it affect the environments? And will we loose the fantastic opportunities to dive and swim together with colourful fish there? What are you waiting for? It is time to go now!
