This park exhibits approximately 200 sculptures made by Gustav Vigeland, and was completed in 1921, after Oslo provided Gustav with the grounds and materials necessary to realize his conception. All of the sculptures within the park are based on people and life.

All sculptures are a tribute to human kind. They show naked people in various positions and situations.

The "Monolitten Human Tower", located in the center of the park, is a masterpiece that took 13 years to construct. The tower is formed by the entangled bodies of 121 people of all age groups.
