Extreme Planet - Seal .
Based on the latest report from Rune everything goes fine (Rune`s website: Extreme Planet - Seal). The Argos beacon as
shown in the photo above sends Rune`s expedition supporters an update via
satellite approximately every hour telling them where Rune is, and his
status. It has a manual switch, which Rune can use to send pre coded messages.
The message Rune`s expedition supporterts normally receive, and the
one they prefer is the message indicating. In addition they
receive additional information such as the temperature and altitude.

Additional information
If successful without
re-supplies on his tour, it will be a world distance record, approximately 800
km longer than the previous skiing expedition record.

On Day 4 (06.11.2005) Rune finally started The Longest March as his
expedition is called. The area is steep, and headwind preventing him of using
the kites. Rune managed to cover a distance of 5 km, and is very pleased that he
at last could start the expedition.
If Rune makes it unsupported to cross the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica,
he will set another world record. And this will also make him as one of the
greatest living adventurers in our time.
