The strong underground shakings across the south Asian
subcontinent have eliminated several villages in Pakistan and caused enormous devastations. Government
officials in Pakistan report that at least 40,000 may be
injured and some 4 million may be left without shelter
in their country. It`s estimated that 800 000 children under 5 year have been affected
by disaster.
The earthquake is thought to have been the strongest the region has seen in a century. Some reports suggest the death toll may double. Despite strong
need for aid, many injured have so far received little medical treatment. It's
a huge area, and the rescue operations go slow. Victims are now threatened
by sickness after the earthquake.

It's still hope for some of the victims. There are continuously reports about survivors and
successful rescue operations. Recently some children become pulled out from a
collapsed building. So if victims get help quick, many of them can be saved.
You can help those affected by the
disaster by making a donation to the aid organisations, who search for survivors, provide
immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. Give
them a helping hand. It's means so much for them
both practically and symbolically! Each contribution, small or big, is appreciated.
