The figure of Jewish people died in Nazi concentrion camps is estimated to be around 6 million, and must never be forgotten. According to the official website of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum will Prayer and Paying Homage to Victims at the Monument in Birkenau take place 15.30 O`clock.

It`s estimated that 350.000 survivers from Holocaust still live today. The youngest are nearly 70 years. Many fear that Holocaust could be forgotten after that all Holocaust survivers are gone. At the same a message is spreading about that Holocaust was a haox. By seaching through Internet a thousands of websites appear with information which denies Holocaust.

Holocaust deniers are people who contend that the Holocaust never happened. According to the deniers, the Nazis did not murder six million Jews.

The main claims of Holocaust deniers are: - Hitler didn`t knew about it because the Nazis had no official policy or intention of exterminating Jews. - Nazis did not use gas chambers to mass murder Jews. - The number of Jewish deaths is a huge exaggeration. The 200.000 - 300.000 Jewish who died during the Second Word War died of natural causes.

The fact is that Holocaust is one of the best documented genocides in history. So this annual ceremony reminds and warns people about the mass murder.

Program of the ceremonies:

Thursday 27th January 2011:

11.30 - Mass at the Church of the Divine Mercy (Cavalry CaptainW. Pilecki’s estate) 14.00 – Beginning of the Ceremony (Sauna Building, Birkenau — entrance until 13.30, invitations required) 15.30 – Prayer and Paying Homage to Victims at the Monument

In January 2009 BBC wrote that financials problems threat the preservation of Auschwitz-Birkenau due to small international support.

According to BBC News provide Poland 94 percent of the financial support that keeps Auschwitz-Birkenau preserved. Other countries account for the remaining six percent. If we can't secure the buildings and conserve the site properly, we will be forced to close it to the public in a few years. Auschwitz spokesman, Pawel Sawicki.
